Indicium's LoRaWAN network currently covers approximately 7,500 square kilometres of Tasmania. The network utilises LoRaWAN technology, which allows devices to send data across long distances. In recent years, there has been significant growth in the ecosystem of LoRaWAN-based products, making it easier for businesses to find the right solution for their needs.
One of the key benefits of LoRaWAN is its ability to transmit data over long distances with low power consumption, making it ideal for forestry and agricultural applications. LoRaWAN-based devices can operate on a single battery charge for several years, making them ideal for applications where other power sources are unavailable.
